Life-Saving Cookbook Launch

Released just this month, the Egg, Dairy & Nut Free Cookbook reveals life-saving secrets and coping solutions for severe food allergy sufferers and their families.

Launch Date: McNally Robinson (Saskatoon) January 26, 2005 7 p.m.

The Egg, Dairy & Nut Free Cookbook is the culmination of a 12-year effort by licensed practical nurse and social worker Donna Beckwith. Beckwith researched and wrote the book in response to her son Aaron’s severe food allergies, fine-tuning proven recipes to make them safe and delicious.

“Twelve years ago we realized that our whole world would have to change. Learning to accommodate these allergies and to begin to modify life in general was the real beginning of this project. Research and pure determination to do the best for our son’s health and social well being started the journey that led to writing this book. When we began this journey, there was little or no information. I understand the frustration and the feeling of being overwhelmed. Having this book at their fingertips will help alleviate some of the stress and give people a starting point.”
